CareSound Radio is proud to work in partnership with local charities to help promote their work within the community.
One very valued partnership is with the Centre for Inclusive Living Perth and Kinross, also known as CILPK.
CILPK visited our radio studios for a behind the scenes look at what we do. The visit was hosted by John Watson, Georgie Williams and Caroline Cooper.
Everyone had a great time exploring the studios, browsing the record library, and learning how John and Georgie put together their weekly radio show for Care Homes all over Perth and Kinross and beyond!
The visiting group included Cindy Godfrey McKay (Chief Executive), Sheila MacKay (Manager), Rowan Davidson (Outreach Worker), and Simon Murray (Administrator). They were also joined by service users, making it a lively and engaging visit for everyone.

CILPK works closely with local services and organisations to improve access, enhance experiences, and support people with disabilities to live independently with the help they need.
Their work across Perth and Kinross plays an important role in creating a more inclusive community.
Since the visit CareSound has supported CILPK by promoting several of their projects and campaigns, including:
- Toilets Around Perth “Lets Make a Splash” project
- World Toilet Day
- “Hear our Roar”
- The Do It Online campaign
Caroline visited CILPK to record voice clips with staff and service users, and there was plenty of laughter along the way.
One highlight was the Perth toilet audit, which turned out to be far more fun than you might expect.
These lively and engaging clips were broadcast on CareSound Radio throughout the campaign periods, helping to raise awareness, share the message, and shine a spotlight on the fantastic work and activities of the charity.
CILPK staff and a service user, Gillian also worked with us to create a special episode of Your Wellbeing Tracks as part of our Talkback podcast series.
You can listen to the podcast at https://www.mixcloud.com/CareSoundRadio/talkback-centre-for-inclusive-living-pk/
The episode features a fantastic mix of uplifting songs which really help their wellbeing, chosen by the CILPK team, with music ranging from the 1970’s through to the present day.
Listeners can find out all about CILPK as well as enjoy selections from Gillian, a huge George Michael fan and a hidden musical gem chosen by Sheila.
The episode finishes on a very high note with a feel good 1980s classic that is sure to bring a smile.

Since visiting the studios, Cindy has also become one of our fabulous request collectors.
She regularly visits Kincairney house Care Home in Perth, gathering brilliant song requests for the weekly Care home request show presented by John and Georgie.
We are delighted to continue working with CILPK and if you’d like to know more go to https://www.cilpk.org.uk/
