We were thrilled and delighted to receive a Silver Award in the Category “Programme with Multiple Presenters” at the recent Hospital Broadcasting Awards ceremony during the Hospital Broadcasting Association Annual Conference, held this year in Leicestershire.
The Programme that won the Silver Award was our Live Audio Description Commentary for the Blind and Partially Sighted that we broadcast during every St. Johnstone home game.
The Commentary is available in the stadium through wireless headsets provided by the Club and via Internet to Perth Royal Infirmary and all other Hospitals and Care Homes that are served by CareSound Radio.

Alex Jardine’s deep knowledge of the club and the game impressed the HBA Award Judges as did the back up provided by an array of Summarisers ranging from the very young to the ‘not so young’.
Ellie (17) and Sam (14) Hartnup-Spiers, Roy Spiers, Fraser Lindsay, John Watson, Ken Johnston, Shaun Bartlett, Finlay Ewart and Peter Hay are the team that ably support Alex Jardine’s commentary on a rolling basis.
All of us here at CareSound Radio are proud to have been supporting St. Johnstone with this service for well over 30 years.
As well as the live commentary for all home games, CareSound Radio broadcasts a Sports Bulletin before every Saints game, home or away, and hosts Tuesday Team Talk at 7pm every Tuesday, with an ever changing team of St. Johnstone fans discussing the latest exploits of our favourite club!
Have a listen… you might not always agree with the Team but we hope you will enjoy it.
