Roy Spiers and Roland Smyth both joined CareSound Radio as teenagers in the early 90’s and 35 years on are still contributing to our service. Following the award of the King’s Award for Voluntary Service two representatives of CareSound Radio were invited to the Royal Garden Party at Holyrood on Tuesday 1st of July.
We were thrilled and delighted to receive a Silver Award in the Category “Programme with Multiple Presenters” at the recent Hospital Broadcasting Awards ceremony during the Hospital Broadcasting Association Annual Conference, held this year in Leicestershire.
We are thrilled to report that CareSound Radio presenter Georgie Williams has won another national award.
At the recent Hospital Broadcasting Awards ceremony in Leicestershire, Georgie was announced as the winner of the inaugural “Innovation Across Hospital Radio” award. Her story prompted an unprecedented standing ovation from around 200 delegates attending the ceremony.
Leading anti-poverty charity Trussell Trust launched Football vs Hunger, a campaign aimed at encouraging football clubs and fans to play their part in ending hunger in Scotland at St Johnstone’s McDiarmid Park.
